ABOUT AL MAS TOWER

Located on its own island, Almas Tower, also known as Diamond Tower, is a super-tall skyscraper and the undeniable centrepiece of Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT). Translating to ‘diamond’ in Arabic, the building’s name and its striking diamond-shaped architecture reflect its purpose: to promote Dubai as one of the top five diamond trading destinations in the world. With the successful establishment of Almas Tower, Dubai became the world’s third-best trading hub for diamonds. As the focal point of the gemstone industry, this commercial high-rise houses several businesses, including the Dubai Diamond Exchange, Dubai Pearl Exchange, and Dubai Gems Club. Almas Tower is also home to the corporate office of the developer and the award-winning global commodities trading free zone, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).

Inspired by the kite-shaped facets of a brilliant-cut diamond, Almas Tower features a three-storey podium sculpted into eight interlocked triangles. From the podium, two elliptical towers rise gracefully, converging around the central core. Launched in 2005 and completed in 2008, the skyscraper stands 68 floors above ground at a height of 1,180 ft. (360 metres). Additionally, there are five basement levels, offering a total floor area of over 1.7 million sq. ft. The developer behind Almas Tower is DMCC, while the stunning high-rise project was designed by Atkins.

Jumeirah Lake Towers is among the top areas in Dubai, featuring beautiful waterfront promenades. The area comprises clusters named from A to Z, each containing three buildings. JLT predominantly consists of skyscrapers with both residential and commercial varieties. It is also home to the famous JLT Park, known for its pet-friendly environment.

Almas Tower’s strategic location, iconic design, and role in the diamond trading industry make it a landmark in Dubai’s skyline. Its facilities and the businesses it hosts contribute significantly to the economic landscape of JLT, attracting professionals and companies from around the world.
